John Baldino is an Assistant Professor in Philosophy and Religious Studies at Lackawanna College. He also serves as director of the college’s Center for Teaching and Learning, which provides onboarding, support, and professional development for faculty. In addition to his work at Lackawanna, John is an Adjunct Instructor in Liberal Arts and Sciences at Excelsior University in Albany, New York. He is a graduate of Marywood and Excelsior Universities and St. Joseph’s College. John holds a Bachelor of Arts, Communications; Master of Arts, Liberal Studies / Philosophy; and Master of Arts, Theology. He is pursuing a Doctorate of Theological Studies at Pontifex University.

Creative arts occupy a large portion of John’s life. He has been performing on stages in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and New York for more than 30 years. He owns and operates Our Cabaret Productions, a professional non-Equity theatrical production company. John also gets creative in the world of video and design through Baldino Digital, his creative agency.

A professional writer, John is a regular contributor to Catholic Insight Magazine; Charity in Truth: A Journal of Religion, Ethics, and Culture, Catholic 365; and Artium: A Journal of Fiction, Creative Nonfiction, and Poetry. Occasionally creative, his writing mostly focuses on matters of moral philosophy, theological analysis, and pastoral theology.
